Duppigheim: industrialist Lohr has been reinventing itself for 60 years

The Lohr group (Duppigheim) is the winner of the Trophée des entreprises d’Alsace in the technological innovation category. The company is responsible for two innovative transport systems, Cristal and Draisy.

When Robert Lohr set up his small business in Hangenbieten in 1963, its purpose was to build and repair agricultural and road trailers and tippers. Since then, Lohr has grown into a multinational that exports 80% of its business and employs some 2,000 people, including around 1,000 in Alsace, at its Duppigheim site.
